HOW I COPE.
The Five Testaments I Live by:
‘Me Time’ means that I take time for myself. It’s ok to put yourself first every now and then and it doesn’t have to cost a lot. It could be as little as taking a bubble bath, listening to music and just chilling out or you could get your nails done or just play video games. It’s all about taking time for yourself doing something you can just relax to or have a laugh.
This strategy is probably one that I find the hardest yet it is the most effective, being able to communicate or express yourself with art or other activities means that you can stay on top of things. Leaving things to pile up sometimes will just make the fall harder and higher. Expressing how you feel can make you feel better, in the long run, knowing your not alone and speaking can help.
Personally, when I am in a bad mental place sometimes I will exclude myself from the people I love the most because I don’t want to upset them. But, in actual fact, it makes it worse for me and them because they realise that I’m not ok and I feel alone. Sometimes you just have to surround yourself with the people you trust and love because they will help you get through the other side.

This next part might make you think well I can’t make myself happy, which is of course true. Sometimes you can’t change the way you feel. However, you can change where you are instead of throwing yourself in bed and crying you could go to a friends house or go out. Fake it and Make it. Sometimes that’s all you can do. Everyone deserves to be happy and you can achieve it and YOU DESERVE IT!
Everyone is different from their characteristics to their lives. In certain situations, it is only normal to feel uncomfortable because of how you have been treated or a situation in your life which has happened. Coming to terms with things can be hard. This step is about making sure you feel comfortable and if not being able to ensure you do. Only you can read yourself and the situation you’re in to decide whether or not where you are or what’s going on around you could trigger you off. For me, this strategy just helps me to feel more in control of my life and ensure that I’m ok in advance.
